Candle

A critique. One meant to enrich the art that is being viewed as well as to enrich the artist themselves. This is a truly unique photo. With so many photo's of candles as well as smoke, you have to become creative in your attempt to create. You have done this very well. The well defined flame in the center star shows the source of the smoke. The smoke itself is well light but with the subtle darkening as it rises higher. I like the use of the darkened vignetting in the shot, it highlights and draws the eye to the center which is where you want it. The very clear reflection shows an excellent choice in surfaces as well as a sharp photo. The way the light stands out on the candle holder makes it look slightly aged, the choice of coloring in your background simply adds to that. All in all, this is a well done piece.
